I was sitting watching some of the new television shows tonite and decided to pull out some of my quilting books to look at while I watched/listened to the shows. I just can’t sit and do NOTHING,,, it bores me.
Anyway, I have a bizillion quilt books (one of my obsessive hobbies) and since I’m trying to figure out what to do with this selection of fabric I have, I pulled some old quilt books out to look at.
I remembered why I bought 101 FABULOUS ROTARY-CUT QUILTS by Judy Hopkins and Nancy J Martin - I think this is the only book that I would love to make almost every quilt that is described in it, I thought about going page by page and making the patterns, not necessarily in the same colors as the quilts they show but the same patterns. It stimulated me again to get busy! to get functional! to sew!
The trick is! Can I do this without buying any fabric!!!??? In a lot of cases, yes….
Wonder how long it would take?? Well, since I work full time and work HARD – I’m thinking this is something to make a life long activity.
